This CD contains many maps which portray a wide variety of information. The map database includes the following resources:

 

Northland Coastal Units

The Northland coastline has been divided into 19 Coastal Units. Various resources are available in each unit, including area descriptions, aerial photos, underwater photos and video, habitat maps, shorebird maps, bathymetry maps and area restriction regulations.

Northland Habitat Maps

Maps from all habitat map studies completed in Northland can be accessed here, for those interested in this particular topic.

 

Northland Shorebird Maps

Here you will find maps from all shorebird studies completed in Northland. The more detailed maps and studies are available to download as pdf documents.

 

Northland Marine Mammal Sightings

This database contains maps displaying marine mammal sightings over a 10-year period. The mammals studied include Brydes Whales, Bottlenose Dolphins, Common Dolphins and Orca.

 

Northland Marine Area Restrictions

This database includes maps and diagrams of all marine area restrictions in place along and around the Northland coastline.

 

There are also a number of key reports which have a series of useful and important maps as part of their report. You can access these through the Document & Report Index.
