The Works of Dr Bill Ballantine

Dr Bill Ballantine has made one of New Zealand's greatest contributions to the development of the marine reserve concept both here and overseas. Bill has literally lead thinking on the idea of networks of marine reserves how they should be designed , why we need them and how to create them. His works are now largely accessible online on his website 

At his site there is an extensive collection of his popular articles and scientific papers. 

His 1991 book on marine reserves remains a classic and is essential reading for anyone wanting to get involved in marine reserves.

Bill is also a tireless campaigner and educator. Some of his powerpoint presentations on marine reserves can also be found on his site.

His denials summary paper is essensial reading for groups discussing marine reserve proposals.
