Giant limpets Giant limpets
Published by Samara Nicholas
on 18/10/2012

These giant limpets are found only at the Kermadec Islands, and growing to 200mm are some of the largest in the world.  The shell grows to fit the rock on the limpets "home" to avoid being washed off by waves.
Small limpets are males, but they change to females once they grow bigger.
