West Coast Marine Protection Forum Overview Map of Proposed Marine Reserves

This map shows the overview of the marine reserves proposed by the West Coast Marine Protection Forum, 5 of which were approved by Conservation and Fisheries Ministers in August, 2011. The approved sites are Okarito, Ships Creek, Punakaiki, Kahurangi and Gorge. The final boundaries will be notified once statutory processes are completed by Ministry of Fisheries and DOC.
